“Take care of your body. It’s the only place where you have to live!” (Jim Rohn)
Concern for a healthy lifestyle emerged with the birth of mankind, the first advice on what constitutes a balanced diet coming right from the Creator:
“Behold, I will give all the herbs that make the seed of the whole Earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be your food […] and everything that moves on the Earth, which has the breath of life in it shall use every green plant for food.”
Respecting “Genesis”, primitive man were eating mainly seeds, tubers, rhizomes, leaves, fruits, nuts, grains. 8 million years ago hominids were fishing, gathering shellfish, shells, hunting.
The food was consumed fresh or cooked immediately after providing it, alongside with sustained physical activity. These were the basis of maintaining the healthy and strong communities, most individuals living active until 120 years, a fact noted by historians.
What happened meanwhile ?!
How did we got from a life expectancy of 128 years old to an average of 70 (if we’re lucky) ?!
Well, we’ve evolved! We have evolved to … involution.
Human, technological and industrial evolution entailed, “our right” of choosing fruits which become ripe by being grown with ethylene carbide, pesticides, and insecticides in toxic soils.
Natural sources of carbohydrate, fat, and protein have been replaced by refined products based on sugar, preservatives and, in the best cases, when choosing fruit consumption, they are treated with calcium carbide for durability and injected with color based on hormones.
And so, with every meal, we create priceless images of modernism: intolerances and food allergies, Candida Overgrowth, Histamine Intolerance, and autoimmune imbalances characteristic before on old ages.
We wouldn’t like to be discriminated, right ?!
Every day arises a new disease that is a mystery even to the medical world. Is this the way our body protects against all the negative things that feed it ?! Thoughts and destructive patterns, eating “plastic” instead of real nutrients, a chronical lack of physical activity.
Hippocrates, the father of Medicine, said: “Let your food be your medicine and medicine be food.”
The saying of our era though, is “Your food leads to medicine.”
Don’ t worry, in time, our body adapts and slowly, we will learn together how to offer to our body exactly what it needs.
We are able to work, to socialize, to follow our dreams, to create the world exactly as we want. We are blessed enough to wake up every morning and make mistakes.
In this right second, someone, somewhere in this world, is praying for at least one more minute of life.
Don’t you feel lucky already?!
Live … ALIVE !!!
